MillarRich MAPs

MillarRich is excited to announce our participation in DIDD’s MAPs initiative.

MAPs (Medicaid Alternative Pathways to Independence) is a new service focused on putting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities on a path to learn skills that will help them live independently, work, learn, and explore their communities. MAPs services give people in the program access to the tools and technology they need to meet the goals they set for themselves.

MillarRich has established new, innovative technology experiences called The Access Initiative and The Lab dedicated to enabling technology. Participants in MAPs and our other Enabling Technology services can explore the training, resources, experiences and technology supports offered in a customized technology experience through these respective programs.

The Access Initiative is a training and experience service that encourages those we support to learn more about technology, try out the devices they are interested in, and start using personal devices in their daily lives

The Lab is a smart home experience that allows those we support to come to our smart home and work with a certified Enabling Technology Specialist to experience what technology as a support option could look like for them based on their interests

We provide MAPs services by using an employment and technology first approach that focuses on sustainability and durability. We promote sustainability in finding solutions that will provide and promote support longterm, while ensuring durability through providing the resources, training and support needed for goal acquisition.
