Our Family Lifestyle Model is what makes MillarRich unique. Instead of traditional residential facilities, adults live in homes where they are part of daily family life. We carefully match each person with a family based on interests, routines, and support needs. The result is a home that feels natural, where people are known and included. This creates trust and stability, and allows individuals to grow in the least restrictive environment possible.
Our approach is guided by evidence-based practices that focus on outcomes that truly matter. Every plan is person-centered, honoring individual strengths and choices. We believe care should empower people, not limit them, and our services reflect that belief.

MillarRich offers a range of supports tailored to each person’s goals and preferences:
Residential Services: Safe, stable homes where adults are included in family life and supported with daily needs.
Employment and Volunteering: Opportunities to find meaningful work or community involvement that builds independence and confidence.
Community Participation: Support for engaging in hobbies, activities, and connections that make life richer and more fulfilling.

Our Family Model Contractors don’t do this work alone. Each family is paired with a Support Specialist who provides training, guidance, and encouragement. Specialists use a structured curriculum to ensure families are confident in meeting individual needs. Homes are regularly monitored in areas most important to each person’s care, so quality and safety remain our highest priorities.

MillarRich partners with the Department of Disability & Aging (DDA), ECF CHOICES, and CHOICES programs to ensure individuals have access to the right supports. By coordinating across systems, we help adults maintain stability and continuity in their care.

With the Department of Disability & Aging (DDA), we provide Family Model Residential, Community Participation, and Employment Services.

With ECF Choices we provide Community Living Services—Family Model (CLS-FM).

MillarRich proudly provides MAPs (Medicaid Alternative Pathways to Independence) services through DDA. MAPs is a three-year program that helps youth and young adults build the skills they need for greater independence.

With 11 clear milestones across employment, community engagement, and personal management, individuals work one-on-one with a MillarRich MAPs Specialist to achieve meaningful progress. Each plan is person-centered and guided by the individual’s strengths and goals.

We partner with families and support networks to promote lasting growth. Enabling technology is central to this process, from everyday tools to specialized devices. Participants gain access to resources such as our smart home lab, virtual reality services, and Vanderbilt driving simulator, along with opportunities to build relationships and strengthen community involvement.

MAPs participants have enrolled in college, secured employment, earned driver’s licenses, and expanded their role in their communities.
