MillarRich Foster Care Services

Every child deserves a safe and loving home. At MillarRich, we work with the Department of Children’s Services (DCS) to provide family-based care for children and youth with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD). Our services are family based, utilizing a specialized foster care program to make sure each child has the support they need to grow, learn, and belong. Our goal is to ensure safety, stability, and permanency while helping each child thrive in the most natural home setting possible.

Our services.

  • Support for Families.

Foster parents open their homes and their hearts, and we make sure they never do it alone. MillarRich provides ongoing guidance, 24/7 staff support, and close collaboration with DCS and case managers. Families never have to face challenges alone—we’re here to equip them with resources, encouragement, and community connection.

  • Training and Ongoing Support.

Our foster parents receive the tools and training they need to provide exceptional care. Each year, they complete training hours covering topics such as CPR, First Aid and trauma-informed care. Beyond formal training, we host Foster Parent Support Meetings and regional events that give families the chance to share ideas, learn from one another, and build lasting connections.

  • A Care Model that Works.

We are committed to using evidence-based practices that improve outcomes for children and families. Using a person-centered and trauma-informed approach, we create plans that are responsive to each child’s needs and experiences. This means care that is both compassionate and effective, with the goal of helping every child heal and move toward permanency.

  • Finding the Right Fit.

No two children are alike, and neither are the families who care for them. We take time to match children with families who can meet their needs and also share their interests and strengths. Our placements are designed to provide the least restrictive home setting possible, where children can be part of family routines, attend school, and participate in their community.

  • Support Through Every Stage.

Children and youth in our program receive consistent, high-quality support as they grow. Whether the plan is reunification, adoption, or long-term placement, MillarRich partners with families and professionals to create stable, lasting solutions. As youth transition into adulthood, planning is guided by their individual goals and preferences. We coordinate with a range of organizations to ensure each young person moves into the setting that best fits their next stage of life.
